June 9, 2009 - Vancouver, BC - GEOSYS Technology Solutions Ltd., a Geospatial Information Solutions provider, announced today it has been awarded a contract by BC Government to provide high resolution natural color orthoimagery in support of the geospatial requirements for the securities planning of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.

The seamless and up to date orthoimagery coverage will provide a common operating picture to a Consortium of municipalities, public safety and securities agencies involved in emergency management and public safety related to the Vancouver 2010 Olympics Games. This high resolution orthoimagery will allow security agencies to have the most up-to-date base information to support a wide variety of analysis, planning, reconnaissance and response efforts related to security of the Games. In addition, it will contribute to the creation of a Regional Geospatial Infra-Structure in the extended Lower Mainland, BC. A total area of approx. 8,000 square kilometers will be covered in this program.

GEOSYS has assembled a large team of geospatial firms specializing in aerial image acquisition and map production to meet the time sensitive project delivery schedule for this program. GEOSYS will supplement its large geospatial data processing capacity with support from its partners including Foto Flight Surveys; Selkirk Remote Sensing; Global Remote Sensing; Eagle Mapping and others.

The aerial image acquisition mission is now underway and the two phase project deliverables are scheduled for July and December 2009.
